Course Goal / Objective

This course aims to help students create fabric collections for interior and apparel use by using double cloth structures. The design process starts with an idea and includes (research, draft, sketch, design, material selection, production and presentation) steps with design criteria and it is aimed to create unique fabric collections.

Course Content

Analysing fashion trends for woven textiles and choosing original themes. .Preparing sketches, synthesing design criteria with weaving parameters material, color and yarn to create woven fabrics. Creating interior and apparel fabrics in line with fabric trends, preparing variants, presenting on CAD programmes and practising prototype weaving. Having knowledge about the differences of armured and jacqurd fabrics.
