Course Goal / Objective

In the solar system, in the direction of our current knowledge, The only planet in the world where life is. Our world, which seems to be lonely prisoner, is like a boat swaying in the space gap with living and inanimate ecology. The struggle of the human beings with the other creatures began with the cultivation of the plants, and the state of culture became absolute dominant by the beginning of the industry based on agriculture. We share the environment we live as human with many animal organisms, especially plants. A group of these organisms are insects. In this course, after giving general information about insects, we will focus on the place of insects in human life and their contributions to the environment.

Course Content

The short history of insects will be discussed. In order to recognize insects, morphological and anatomical structures of insects, morphological and anatomical structures which they show in harmony with their environment and nutritional behavior and briefly insect ecology will be explained. The contribution of insects to the environment, the food chain and the place in human life. As well as reading about popular science books related to soil, plants, insects and environment while discussing these topics.
