Course Goal / Objective

To classify gymnosperms used for aesthetics anf functional aims inlandscape designs; To introduce the properties of families, genus, and species; To provide general information about their usage areas; To define some terms regarding plants in general terms; To render the knowledge about plants permanent by designing herbarium and catalogue.

Course Content

General classification of the plants, distinctive characteristics of gymnosperms, general information of eight classes (including the disappearing) that belong to gymnosperms; general characteristics of living 10 families; general properties of species and information about the uses of every species in landscape architecture
