Course Goal / Objective
The purpose of this course is to give basic knowledges on the importance of forage crops, vegetative and generative characteristics of the forage plants, growing techniques of some important forage plants as well as on the sutainable management principles of meadow and pasture acosystems.
Course Content
The scope of course can be outlined in three phases: 1. role and importance of forage grasses for animal production and environment. Grass establishment and maintenance 2. role and importance of forage legumes for animal production and environment and soil fertility. Cultivation of Legumes 3. role and importance of grasslands, range management
