Course Goal / Objective

To teach basic concept, principles and methodologies

Course Content

This lesson contains introduction to concept of plant breeding, plant breeding methods in self-pollinated species, plant breeding cross-pollinated species, breeding for heterosis polyploidy in plant breeding, the single seed descent methods, biotechnology in plant breeding, breeding for resistance to diseases and insect pests andp breeder rights
