Course Goal / Objective

Understanding the basic information about the effects of water quality on soil and plants Developing existing irrigation systems to protect fields from further damage on saline irrigation systems and the lesson also includes the necessary approaches to solve problems that may occur such as salinity and sodium.

Course Content

The nature and extent of agricultural salinity ,irrigation water analysis and classification, plant, water and soil salinity relationships of plant water and salt balance in the root zone, leaching requirement, salinity problem and the remedy, the improvement of saline-sodium soils, water pollution and the use of non-traditional water resources.
