Course Goal / Objective

Learning to use fields of computer networks. Learning the architecture of computer networks. Administrating and setting up computer networks.

Course Content

Basics and architecture of computer Networks, Topologies and types of computer Networks, OSI model and network protocols, Networks devices - active and passive devices, LAN transmission Technologies (x25, DSL, ISDN, Frame relay etc.), network operating systems, Providing transmission on network, setting up and administrating computer Networks, services of network, the structure of internet and TCP/IP, subnetting, ip routing, communicate over internet: email, instant messaging applications, file downloading and uploading on internet, using FTP system, using and accessing systems on the network, network security, preventing and determining network attacks, setting up and using network services like DHCP, DNS, web server, remote access server and database server.

PLO05 - Develop a personal proposal, a product or a group of processes for the solution of a problem related to the field as an indicator of the skills of working independently and taking responsibility. Take responsibility of an individual or group projects and accomplishing his/her undertaken missions.
PLO06 - Follow current problems and applications and determining information and skills to undertake learning missions for the following stage. Apply the solution for the problem on the basis of scientific and ethical values when she/he confronts a learning problem.
