Course Goal / Objective

This course aims to familiarize law students with the basic concepts and historical development of human rights, human rights theories, classification and restriction of human rights on the national and international level (especially the European system for the protection of human rights), as well as their legal protection.

Course Content

These are some topics which will be discussed in details :Introduction to the concept of human rights,Classification of the Human Rights, Principles of human rights,International Protection of Human Rights: The UN System,International Protection of Human Rights: The Europe System and Turkey,Development of Human Rights in Turkey, Current Human Rights Issues in the world.

LO01 The students who complete Human Rights Law successfully gain knowledge at definition of human rights,history of human righst and international protection of human rights law etc.
LO02 Learning general principles of international human rights law, European Human Rights Convention.
LO03 Learning the basic mechanisms for enforcing human rights and the role of the political realities in promoting human rights.

PLO16 - Has the skills needed to work as a judge, prosecutor, lawyer, notaryor legal counsel after graduating from the School of law.
PLO17 - Takes on tasks; the administrative organization of the country´s governor, the governor, the chief of police, inspectors, also in areas such as banking and finance senior positions and so on.
