Course Goal / Objective

This course aims to teach students; legal aspects of collective labor relations and the social security institutions in detail.

Course Content

First, in Collective Labour Law ; fundamental concepts, structure of trade union, foundation of unions, collective bargaining, collective labour agreements, strikes and lockouts, etc. will be discussed. Then in the context of Social Security Law, social security and general health insurance concepts, employement declaratory action, occupational accident, occupational disease and etc. topics will be covered.

LO02 To acquire the necessery knowledge on the freedom of trade unions and function of trade unions.
LO03 The interpretation of collective agreement and the evaluation of the rights and obligations resulting from collective agreement.
LO04 To acquire the necessery skill to find solution for collective disputes.
LO05 To acquire the necessery skill to find solution for conflict of right and conflict of interest by way of pasific solution or by legal strike.
LO06 Analysing the concept of social security and the historical background.
LO07 Evaluating the application scope of the social insurance and the financing of the social security.
LO08 Evaluating the types of long term social insurance and short term social insurance.
LO09 Assessing the unemployment insurance and the general health insurance.
