Course Goal / Objective

The purpose of this course consists of a course on the basis of previous periods, the method of scale and scale types, a particular problem, especially apply for scientific research, data analysis and interpretation of the processes of implementation .. For this purpose, mainly measuring and scaling techniques, data processing, analysis, and interpretation reflectivity, reliability, and validity issues are addressed.

Course Content

Developing hypothesis in a social context, determining variables and relationship between them, introducing concept of measuring, gathering data by identifying universe and sample. Planning a research project from the first, to the last stage, considering basic principles in each stage. Preparation of a questionnaire and application of the project. Analysis of the data collected, by manipulation of the variables, preparation of tables, criticism and interpretation of the results. Examination of psychometric and projective techniques, understanding concepts reliability and validity are other goals included beside preparation and application of a research project.
