Course Goal / Objective
To teach the basis of generative reproduction, pollination, fertilization, seed and fruit formation and the internal and external factors afecting these.
Course Content
General principles of generative reproduction in plants, function and morphology of flower organs, sexuality in plants, pollination, fertilization, mechanism of seed and fruit development, parthenocarpy, apomixis, sterility and sexual incompatibility, factors affecting on fruit-set in horticultural plants, principles of orchard establishment in terms of fertilization biology
