Course Goal / Objective
About the basic principles of horticulture and plant breeding species Alırlar.bah information about rootstock development strategies. They are about classical and biotechnological breeding methods . The status of vegetable seed sector in Turkey , providing the necessary technological and physiological information for the production of vegetable seeds in order to provide students with information and skills
Course Content
Causes of genetic expansion of horticultural crops , breeding strategies , hybridization of conventional breeding methods , mutation and selection techniques, tissue culture techniques from biotechnological breeding methods , polyploidy breeding and protoplast fusion, genetic transformation and gene . The definition of seed and parts, the chemical content of the seed , seed quality, germination , germination tests hybrid seed production, dormancy , seed harvesting and storage
