Course Goal / Objective

Teaching the Influence of chemical and biological antimicrobial agents on micro-organisms, microorganisms have developed mechanisms of resistance to these agents behaviors

Course Content

Chemical antimicrobial agents, control of microbial growth Antibiotics targets Synthetic antimicrobial drugs Natural antimicrobial drugs: Antibiotics The antibiotics of inhibiting of cell wall synthesis: Penicillins, cephalosporins, bacitracins, carbapenem, monobactam, vancomycine The antibiotics of inhibiting of protein synthesis: Macrolids, aminoglycozides, tetracyclins, lincosamide DNA-gyrase inhibitors; quinolons Lipid biosynthesis inhibitors, antimicrobial agents on folic acid metabolism antimicrobial agents on sytoplasmic membrane structure and function: polymyxines, daptomycine antiviral agents antifungal agents antiparasiter agents
