Course Goal / Objective

Students are expected to gain fundamental level of knowledge, awareness, skills and attitude about health literacy and first aid.

Course Content

General rules about healthy life and its components, health education, personal hygiene, adequate and balanced diet, body weight evaluation, eating disorders, alcohol, drugs, tobacco and their effects on health, health responsibility, healthy dressing, well balanced life and sleep, stress and time management, healthy working environment, disease prevention, priority objectives and basic applications of first aid, basic life support, and evaluation of patient/injured and the scene, consciousness disorders, bleeding, shock, stabbing and cutting injuries, fractures and dislocations, burns, frostbite, heatstroke, convulsions, chest pain, poisoning.
