Course Goal / Objective

To give information about electrical energy definition and risk factors related to electricity, precautions to be taken when working with electricity, to teach static electricity, grounding, lightning protection, the controls that are required in terms of health and safety,and prevention methods, to give information about occupational health and safety measures in screened vehicles, to gain the ability to train first aid in electrical work.

Course Content

Introduction, Basic knowledge and concepts, Factors affecting electricity risks, and electricity accidents, Causes of electric shocks and precautions to be taken, Measures to be taken against lightning and lightning protection systems, high voltage transmission, precautions to be taken in high voltage work, Electrical installation and occupational health and safety precautions in explosive atmospheres, occupational health and safety precautions in power tools, safety in electrical welding machines, occupational health and safety in shielded vehicles and first aid.
