Course Goal / Objective
To teach the basic concepts of Search and Rescue, to give information about basic search and rescue works, to give information about search and rescue methods, machinery and equipment applied in different events, to teach communication, planning, organization and intervention techniques, to prepare emergency plans, to give information about problems that may arise in search rescue
Course Content
Introduction, Basic knowledge and concepts, historical development of search and rescue, of search and rescue team, Planning and organization, techniques of search and rescue, accident evaluation phases, used machinery and equipment, fire and intervention techniques, communication, technological developments, emergency plans, some engineering applications for search and rescue, health problems in search and rescue activities, methods of protection and first aid in medical emergency, national and international legislation
