Course Goal / Objective
To teach the basic information about oral and dental health of children with preventive dentistry by means of lectures and clinical applications.
Course Content
This lesson includes the management of behavior in children, examination and diagnosis, craniofacial anomalies and treatment procedures applied in children.

| LO11 | The aim of this course is to inform the student about the definition and classification of the disabled child, general characteristics, mouth symptoms, psychological status of these patients, clinical approach and dental treatment. In addition, dental general anesthesia and the protective dental approach to be applied to children with disabilities treated with sedatives is described. |
| LO12 | Early orthodontic applications that can be done in primary and mixed dentition, to evaluate the types of space mainters applied to protect the occlusion in premature primary tooth loss, the precautions that can be taken and the occlusion relations between the space mainters. |
