Course Goal / Objective

The aim of this course is to inform about textile quality control techniques, standards and standardization, statistical quality control and problem solving techniques and applications .

Course Content

Quality concept, Quality costs, Quality principles, Factors affecting quality, Quality control and historical development, Quality assurance systems, ISO 9000 series certification process, Total quality control, Importance of Quality control and basic concepts, National and international standards and standardization, Statistical process control applications, Problem solving techniques and applications (PUKÖ Cycle, Brain Storm, 5N and 1K Technique, Cause-effect (Fish Worm) Diagram, Pareto Analysis, Tree Diagram, Flow Diagram, Nominal Group Technique, Histograms, Quality control circles etc.).
