Course Goal / Objective
With this course students will do basic calculations necessary for the design of structural elements.
Course Content
A- isostatic beams 1- internal forces in the structural elements 2. Calculation of internal forces 3- drawing the diagram of internal forces 4 Diagram of analysis (interpretation) B- isostatic plane frames 1-planar Structure and Types 2. Calculation of support reactions in the frame 3- internal forces in the frame member 4- Calculation of internal forces 5- drawing the diagram of internal forces 6 Diagram of analysis (interpretation) C isostatic plane lattice systems 1-truss definition 2-usage of truss 3-types of truss 4-truss beams to determine the stability condition. Calculation of 5-truss support reactions 6-cage bar strength calculations of beams a-node point method b-cutting method 7-Pressure and comparing the behavior of towbar D Three-hinged systems 1. Three-hinged systems a- Frames b Belts 2.
