Course Goal / Objective
In this course, some theoretical knowledge and methods that are learned in waves and optics course are aimed to be applied experimentally.
Course Content
Introduction; waveform measurements; linear sum of two wave and beat; lissajous curves for the same and different frequency waves; LRC circuits and damped harmonic motion; LRC circuits and oscillations; resonance; microwave experiment; introduction to ray optics; refraction of light; refraction of light prisms; white light color separation in prism and formation of image in concave mirror; image formation in thin edge lens and and determination of focal length of the thick lens; measuring the speed of light with fiber optic cable; interference and diffraction (Young) experiment.
