Course Goal / Objective
The aim is to introduce children with special needs and to teach the classification of children with special needs. The aim is to introduce the task that can be undertaken in special education services.
Course Content
Basic concepts; The individuals who need special education; Language and speech impairment; physical Inability / persistence; Multiple inability; Feeling / behavior disorder; classification; Prevalence and frequency of occurrence; reasons; screening / diagnostic; team; Education-training environments; Scientific based practices; The family concept and the characteristics of families with children who need special education; Attitudes towards the child and his / her family in need of special education; Services, supports and legal rights offered to families.
