Course Goal / Objective

To understand the concepts of social inequality and social distance and their relation to social processes.

Course Content

Examining the power and its effect, the social distribution of income and wealth, the status, education and specialization in the formation of social fortune in stratification, and general theories about stratification, as well as the current theories of social stratification and social inequalities; class, status and power are examined in detail.
