Course Goal / Objective

The aim of this course is to examine how classical Ottoman diplomacy was shaped by and responded to the evolutions in European state system especially after the Westphalian Treaty. The impact of this adaption capacity on Ottoman state system also will be discussed.

Course Content

This course analyses the changes and continuities in Ottoman diplomacy in the light of the evolutions in European State System until the demise of the Empire
