Course Goal / Objective

Describe the dominant trends and trends in world furniture history and the influences on today's style and decoration.

Course Content

Furniture styles, joining methods. Construction types; Solid, frame, joinery (grating, honeycomb and cage), contra and mixed constructions. Various cupboards, sofas, tables, doors, drawers, flooring and such Construction techniques. Accessories and fasteners.
