Course Goal / Objective
The main aim of the course is to teach students the starting points of the philosophy which is the basis of the development of science and to prepare the ground for critical thinking in this context. Besides, it is aimed that the student who learns about the scope and limits of philosophy can analyze all the problems he / she has encountered with a philosophical point of view. In this context, the area of logic, being, and art that constitute the important building blocks of philosophy are conveyed through various philosophers' perspectives. Thus, it is aimed to make the student understand the philosophy that contributes to the development of the society in all its aspects.
Course Content
The course contains basic information on the concept of philosophy. In this context, the course includes important concepts of philosophy, types of knowledge, approaches to knowledge, philosophy of being, art and morality. On the other hand, the concept of politics is also examined in terms of philosophy and all these issues are critically examined.
