Course Goal / Objective

The aim of this course is informatıon about poetry genre, formal and contextual features of Turkish poetry in Tanzimat period, analyzing literary texts, identification of literary work and reader-oriented methods.

Course Content

The content of this course is poetry genre, general characteristics of poetry genre, characteristics of poetry genre in point of form and content, analyzing language of poetry, modern concept relating to meter and rhyme in Turkish poetry after Tanzimat period, modern forms of verses used in Turkish poetry after Tanzimat period; free verse, modern concept relating to content in Turkish poetry after Tanzimat period, introduction to analyzing texts, methods of text analysis, methods considering historical and social conditions and practice, literary work-oriented methods and practice, reader-oriented methods and practice.
