Course Goal / Objective
The aim of this course is introduction of hardware components in the computer, description of history and software concept, comprehension of various software systems that make up computer systems.
Course Content
In this course, definition of computer systems and its coverage introduction to definition of computer, computer types and hadware components. History of Computers Early computers to today, introduction to history of computers and informatics. Operating Systems Introduction to definition of operating systems from past to present. Basic Office Softwares Introduction to deskktop publishing and basic components of office softwares. Internet Usage Introduction to short history of internet, its usage and internet security issues. resources of Turkology and linguistics on the Web Introduction to general resources on web related to Turkology and linguistics are explained.
