Course Goal / Objective

Familiarize Kipchak Turkish with its grammatical characteristics and work in the history of Turkish Language starting from the 14th century.

Course Content

Introducing Altınordu Kipchak Turkish, Khorezm-Altınordu Kipchak Turkish, Egyptian Mameluk Kipchak, and Armenian Kipchak in the history of Turkish language, evaluation of works, introducing phonology, morphology, vocabulary and general features of historical Kipchak dialects, evaluation of works through publications, references giving, phonology, morphology, vocabulary, semantic studies on the transcribed texts by Codex Cumanicus, Saadet Çağatay and V. Drimba, phonology, morphology, vocabulary, semantics studies on the transcribed texts of Qutb Husrev, phonology, morphology, vocabulary, semantic studies on the transcribed texts by Yarlık and Bitik of Altnordu, language characteristics of Egyptian Kipchak Mameluk works, phonology, morphology, vocabulary, semantic studies on the transcribed texts by Gulistan translations of SeyfI Sarayi, phonology, morphology, vocabulary, semantic studies on the transcribed texts by Münyetül Guzat phonology, morphology, vocabulary, semantic studies on the transcribed texts by Kitab Fi İlm AnNuşşab ve İrşadül Müluk ves selatin texts and phonology, morphology, vocabulary, semantic studies on the transcribed texts by Armenian Kipchak
