Course Goal / Objective

The aim of this course is to learn the stages of Turkish culture and the stages of development and to gain the ability to make comparisons with different civilizations of the period from different perspectives.

Course Content

In this course, the definition of culture, its scope, its importance, its relation with language, theories about the birth of languages, natural languages, language of language, relationship between language and culture, the effect of community life and geography on the language, Turkish culture departments and their influence on language, characteristics of nomadic culture, nomadic Turkish communities and cultures, development of literature in Turks, settled life, agricultural culture, transition of Turks to settled life, Uyghurs and their cultures (art, literature, civilization), acceptance of Islam by Turks and new cultural environment, Islamic Turkish culture, reflection of western culture to the language are explained.
