Course Goal / Objective
The aim of this course is to learn the stages of Turkish culture and the stages of development and to gain the ability to make comparisons with different civilizations of the period from different perspectives.
Course Content
In this course, important values and the reflection of these values by the Turks: kinship names, proverbs and idioms, the concept of encapsulation and localization in the language, the tradition of naming in Turkey, the words used for women and men in Turkish in the context of cultural values from past to present, the effect of technological developments on the language of Central Asia Turkish communities and cultures living in Turkey, Turkish speaking and cultural problems abroad.
