Course Goal / Objective
The students recongnize the basic principles of fertilization with irrigation water (fertigation) which is useful to save water under water limited conditions and to increase the effectiveness of fertilizers and to introduce the managment of applications in practical conditions and required equipments
Course Content
This lecture aims to present, introduction of basic theorotical information related to fertigation ; the following topics will be presented: plant nutrition and nutrients, fertigation and fertigation techniques, innovations in fertigation applications, basic principles of fertigation, injection methods used in fertigation, plant-fertigation management, fertilizers used in fertigation and calculations of injection rates, fertigation applications in some crop plants
