Course Goal / Objective
To teach the importance of viticulture in Turkey and in the world, taxonomy of the vine, grape areas and organs of the vine
Course Content
History of viticulture and geographical distribution of the vine, Grape growing countries, Grape production and trading in the world. Grape growing areas of Turkey . Taxonomy of the vine, Vitis species and their distribution areas, Commercial classification of grapes, Vine morphology and anatomy; Annual development cycle of the Vine and related events.
