Course Goal / Objective

Being knowledgeable about energy generation systems from energy conversion systems and renewable energy sources

Course Content

Thermodynamic principles related to energy (Energy and mass balances), Energy-mass-power relationships and units, Energy types and sources, Energy conversion in thermal and hydraulic machines, Heat and electricity transformation of solar radiation, Constant and variable speed wind energy conversion systems, Heat and electricity production from geothermal energy, Physical, thermal and biochemical / microbial methods to convert biomass to energies, Energy conversion systems of waves and sea currents, Fuel oil technology, Cogeneration and Trigeneration technologies
