Course Goal / Objective

To introduce the technological developments in the horticultural mechanization and the level of Turkey's horticultural mechanization and its improvement possibilities as well as the machines and equipments used in the horticultural mechanization

Course Content

Concepts (mechanization, machinery, energy), biotechnical properties of horticultural plants, equipments used in horticultural mechanization, Tractors, tillage machines, machines used in sowing and planting of horticultural plants, fertilizing machines, plant protection machines, irrigation techniques in horticulture, fruit, grape and vegetable harvesting machines, pruning machines and technical specifications
