Course Goal / Objective

Teaching the ecological factors that effect the population development of the insects, to provide the knowledge required for the management of insect populations.

Course Content

This lecture covers terminology in Insect Ecology and the reasons why the insect are dominant life-form on earth, ecological factors limiting insect populations, intraspecific and interspecific competition, life tables, species richness in different ecological conditions
