Course Goal / Objective

In this course, aimed to gain qualifications to be able to do the examination and selection of materials.

Course Content

Materials that are used in the technical field, Metallic materials, Ceramic materials, Composite materials, Basic concepts of atomic structure, Bonds between atoms and molecules, Types of unit cell, Basic concepts of freezing and melting, Solidification and cooling curves of pure metals and alloy, Dendirt and grain formation during solidification, Crystal defects, Pure metal, Dec phase or compound, Solid solutions, Alloy steels standard representation,Alloys are soluble in each other in a liquid state in any ratio, Partially soluble in the other alloys in the liquid state, No alloys in liquid and solid state insoluble in each other, Visual inspection method, Liquid penetrant examination method, Ultrasonic testing method, X-ray inspection method, Magnetic inspection method
