Course Goal / Objective

Developing social awareness and awareness among students with the projects to be realized within the scope of the course; The aim of the course is to develop skills such as cooperation, teamwork, responsibility, self-confidence and entrepreneurship.

Course Content

Gaining various skills in some aspects such as project development, participation in the panels and meetings, social responsibility, being volunteer in community works.

1 Developing social awareness and consciousness by discussing the concepts of university and society. To do research about the course.
2 To discuss what kinds of social problems can be contributed within the framework of social service practices. Identify social problems.
3 Evaluation of different topics such as provision of medicine cabinets for schools recommended by students, library for bus stops, different projects for homeless people, care of street animals, care for elderly and teaching reading and writing. To make detailed research on the social problems identified.
4 Problems, which can be faced with and suggestions of solutions. Preparing solutions to these problems and developing projects.
5 Sponsor determination and persuasion methods. Sponsor to investigate.
6 Introduction of the university media unit, informing the community about service practices, ensuring that the studies take place in the written and visual media. To contact the university contact center.
7 Formation of student groups and in-group task distribution. Preparing presentations about working group.
8 Mid-Term Exam Self study.
9 Students' experiences about the first week are shared with the student groups. Self-study about the project and preparing project report.
