Course Goal / Objective

The overall objective of this course is to have students gain the knowledge, skills and attitudes regarding psychological counseling.

Course Content

In this course some information about counseling process and characteristics, differences among psychotherapy, counseling and guidance concepts, counseling principles and techniques is given to students. The presentation of the course subjects are performed by the Instructor. Essential helping skills and skills related with therapeutic conditions , stages in the individual helping process and the clients experience in counseling. These mentioned course subjects are taught theoretically, giving examples, with computer presentations, giving daily assignments, by dramatization, role playing, modeling, videos etc. with various applications.
