Course Goal / Objective

Enable students undetstand the historical development of childrens literature in Turkey and the world, identifying qualified childrens books, being able to determine the appropriate childrens literal books to their age groups, identifying the types and the chararteristics of childrens literature.

Course Content

In this course, definition, aim, characteristics, the contributions to the development of child, the historical development of childrens literature in Turkey and in the world, types and the characteristics of childrens literature, and the appropriate types of literature to childrens development and age group are lectured.
