Course Goal / Objective
Estimating costs of agricultural commodities, main concepts, comparison of different approaches, standardizing cost tables, sampling problems
Course Content
Cost and return estimation for crop and livestock commodities; goals, context, main concepts, different approaches, problems encountered in theory and applications, sources of data and sampling problems, analyses based on diifferent aggregation levels, ownership and operating costs for durable capital goods, allocating overhead costs, costs for multiyear enterprises, standardization of cost and return reports; examples from crops and livestock production
