Course Goal / Objective

The aim of this lecture is to equip the students with certain skills and abilities to conduct their studies in the field of agricultural sciences at specialist level, with a detailed information about advanced calculations, measuring techniques and measuring instruments in Analytical Chemistry.

Course Content

Analytical chemistry and its importance, chemicals, equipments and basic processes used in analytical chemistry, labor-safety, calculations in analytical chemistry, errors in chemical analysis, sampling, standardisation and calibration and their methods, chemical equilibrium in aqueous solutions, methods of classical, electrochemical, spectrochemical, kinetic and chromatographic analyses and measuring instruments used in all these analyses.

LO01 Recognizes the relations of Analytical Chemistry with Agricultural Sciences in advanced level.
LO02 Knows classical, electrochemical, spectrochemical, kinetic and chromatographic methods necessary for analiytical studies and different areas of Agricultural Sciences and their application areas
LO03 Has adequate konowledge on instruments needed for analytical chemistry studies and their use.

PLO04 - Has ability to prepare and implement projects in order to solve the problems encountered in ensuring that the plants can be fed regularly in a soil or soilless medium, by covering other disciplines, and rovides solutions by making a status determination.

PLO06 - Recognizes the problems that may arise and unpredictable in the field of expertise and takes responsibility with new strategies to be developed for the solution.
