Course Goal / Objective
The aim of this lecture is to comprehend working preciples and uses of detectors which are used in Experimental High Energy Physics.
Course Content
Basic Nuclear Processes in Radioactive Sources, Passage of Radiation Through Matter, Radiation Protection, Biological Effects of Radiation, Statistics and the Treatment of Experimental Data, General Characteristics of Detectors, Ionization Detectors, Scintillation Detectors, Photomultipliear and their uses, Semiconductor Detectors
