Course Goal / Objective

To disseminate the most up to date knowledge on the fundamentals of surface physics, on surface steps and and their interactions, on the equilibrium shape of equilibrating crystals, on the investigation of equilibrating continuous and steppede surfaces and on other related subjects.

Course Content

Ethical Problems in Research, Unethical Behaviors and Prevention, Scientific Research Methods, Scientific Research Planning: Research Problems, Hypotheses and Objectives, Access to Scientific Information: Library, Digital Library, Databases,Scientific Data Collection and Measurement Methods, Data Analysis Methods and Presentations, Validity and Reliability Concepts, Research Proposal Writing-A 'Summary' Proposal Preparation, Research Report Preparation, Reporting Methods, Article Writing Basic Rules and Examples, Higher Education Council Scientific Research and Publication Ethics Instruction.
