Course Goal / Objective

To make use of geographic information system.

Course Content

Methods used in planning applications of geographic information system, software and algorithms, determination of strategies to be followed in planning studies, image processing techniques, geographic information system terminologies. Quantitative methods for data collection and evaluation in planning studies, data sources used in planning and the basis of geographical information system, data analysis. Use of Arcmap and Arccatalog modules of ARCGIS software. Combining remote sensed data with geographic information system data.
