Course Goal / Objective

Aim of this course is To teach how to investigate the basic geological data in urban planning; to enable students with the ability to define a methodological procedure in order to decide on the geological siting.

Course Content

Geological factors in land use planning. The planning stages, planning, geological studies in parallel. Appropriate and inappropriate areas, the applications to the the areas that need improvements, Ground engineering concepts and research techniques. Alternatives and environmental factors. Interpretation and reporting of data techniques is explained in this course.
