Course Goal / Objective

This course aims to train specialist nurses, who uses his/her expertise knowledge in the field of medical nursing while assessing the individual holistically, offers solution by identifying health problems, plans researches based in evidence, gives health/patient education, and plays an active role in teamwork.

Course Content

This course teaches the knowledge related to medical nursing in the level of expertise about holistic approach, quality of life, self-care, health-patient education, terminal patient care.

LO01 It develops the theory and knowledge related to nursing care models, health organizations and home care nursing and can create new information by integrating this information with information from different disciplines.
LO02 Uses theoretical knowledge about home care nursing, develops and interacts with interdisciplinary-multidisciplinary team and leads the group studies.
LO03 Knows importance and meaning of ethical problems encountered during home care process, acts ethically.
LO04 Knows home care nursing knowledge in education-training and care technologies and uses them effectively in nursing profession activities.
