Course Goal / Objective
The aim of this course is to provide information about the basic concepts related to endoscopic procedures applied to various systems, the duties, powers and responsibilities of the endoscopic nurse, the follow-up of the patient and the post-maintenance.
Course Content
The history of endoscopy and design of the unit; Endoscopic instruments; Etoscopy used in gases and liquids The role of nurse in upper gastrointestinal endoscopic interventions; The role of nurse in lower gastrointestinal endoscopy; Patient care in percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG); Radiation safety in endoscopy units ; Nursing care in laparoscopic surgery; Endoscopic and laparoscopic care and disinfection; Disinfection problems and infection control in endoscopy units; Influences associated with endoscopic interventions
