Course Goal / Objective

The aim of this course is to provide the students with knowledge and discussion on the components of grammar, the syntactic derivation, the grammatical components of the grammar, to share information about other syntax theories other than the Universal Grammar model, and to introduce them to the concepts used in contemporary syntax theories.

Course Content

The content of this course is to introduce syntax theories, Universal (productive, transformative) grammar theory, phases of theory, sub-theories of theory, Chomsky, and other researchers who develop syntax theory.
