Course Goal / Objective

The main objectives of this course are to explain general characteristics of exotic species, the vectors of their introduction, diversity of exotic species in the Mediterranean and Turkish waters, and their effects of the prevailing ecosystem.

Course Content

Mediterranean formation, the sub seas of the mediterranean, Levantine Sea and ecological characteristics, Vectors of introduction of exotic species, Exotic species living in the Mediterranean and Turkish waters, The effects of exotic species on ecosystem, Economical importance of exotic species, Eradication methods, and most dangerous-invader species.
