Course Goal / Objective

The aim of this course is to teach students robust statistical methods and how to use them.

Course Content

Location model and M-estimators, M-estimation of a scale parameter, computation of an M-estimator, robust confidence intervals, robust hypothesis tests, influence function, breakdown point, maximum asymptotic bias, optimal robustness, multivariate robust analysis.
